We are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Attendance Lead at Deyes High School—a pivotal role that will champion a culture of excellent attendance and lead our attendance team, working closely with senior colleagues and external partners to remove barriers to learning. 

Job Overview

The postholder will shape and drive our Inclusive Attendance plan, targeting effective interventions for key groups so we reduce persistent and severe absence and secure the best possible outcomes for every young person. 

They will also oversee accurate reporting and statutory compliance, from register accuracy to casework that may include legal processes, alongside constructive, compassionate work with families. 

We’re keen to hear from colleagues with experience in education settings, confident use of MIS/data tools, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children. 

There may be occasions when you will be required to attend school parents’ evenings or conduct home visits during the evening. The role requires a flexible approach to working hours.
